End of the holidays…

Already? They went so fast this time. It helped having Mr G home for the week (even though he was quite sick with a cold).

The highlight for Mr L was a trip to Melbourne to see A Day in Pompeii.

We caught an early train…

We explored the underground escalators on the way to the Museum, where we met my SIL and her daughters. Pompeii was brilliant – well worth the trip.

Then off to the National Gallery of Victoria to see Persuasion for me. As you can see, the highlight for Mr L was the water wall – what kid doesn’t love it??

Then, one little surprise – the Eureka Tower! The weather was perfect – especially for a Melbourne winter! We could see the whole of Melbourne and it was wonderful (although the lift ride – 88 floors in 40 seconds – was a little scary!).

Um… that’s me in the window…

We wandered back to the station a bit early, and spent some time people watching. I had a play with the point and shoot (couldn’t hold the ‘real’ camera with my crazy hands).

Mr G and Mr A met us at the train station and took us home – we were exhausted.

And it all served to remind me I’m so glad we don’t live in the city any more…

Catch ya…
