isn’t always what’s there.

It looks like Christmas has exploded on my dining table, but it’s not quite the case.

I’m attemping some quilting. I say attempting, because all is not going to plan. I really want to learn free motion quilting but I can’t get the tension happening for me. Not sure whether it’s me, the machine or the foot. Or something else altogether.

So instead I’m making… something. Not sure what yet. A cushion maybe? Whatever it ends up being, it’s not at all Christmas-y, despite it being “Christmas” colours.

Catch ya…

I am going to try and teach myself how to do a bit of free motion quilting – but I’m very intimidated and scared to try it on a quilt yet, in case I wreak it!
I’ve been reading up on tutorials on the web to try and prepare myself and get some good tips!
(Sewing machines are the worst when they won’t get their tension right (I’m sure they do it on purpose!) I hope you manage to work it out!)
