I turned around…

And someone went and grew up on me. I signed on for a baby – not a young man.

img_0814.jpgHe’s growing up to be such a good kid. Still has his moments, but he’s a great big brother and is great to sit and talk to about everything. Still into space – but it’s narrowed even further to physics now. Loves physics. He’s going to be very pleased when he gets The Cartoon Guide to Physics for his birthday next week. Mind you, he’s also going to be pretty please with The Simpsons slippers I got him too. No birthday party this year. He’s getting to choose a family outing, and it looks like it will be to the Melbourne Aquarium “if the T-man can come too” (his 3 yr old cousin). Should be fun.

img_0799.jpgI’m trying to reconcile my mind with the fact he will be 7. Seven. That means I have been in my current job (the mum thing) for nearly 8 years, if you count the time it took to cook him. Scary stuff. He had a day off school today and we went out in the backyard today and played with bubbles and Mr A. Mr G came home from work unexpectedly early and joined us for a bit.

Life is good, I tell you, when you can be happy blowing bubbles with your three favourite boys.

Catch ya…
