We’re home…

Safe and sound. The boys missed us – well, Mr L suprisingly missed us; Mr A, not so much. It was so good to get home and see them again. I missed them both more than I ever imagined.

Tasmania was, as it always is for us, spectacular. We had 71mm of rain when we visited Strathgordon (coming from an area in drought, that was a wonderful sight), froze on Mt Wellington, saw a cave cricket underground at Hastings Caves, found convict nails at Saltwater River and soaked in the wonderful ambience. I didn’t take nearly as many photos as I thought I would (only 155) and I’ve uploaded some of my favourites here.

Back to reality big time today. We went to the funeral of our friend who died last week. It was by far the biggest funeral I’d ever been to, with such a diverse array of people there. It was a wonderful tribute to a wonderful woman.

My thoughts are also with DebF and her family. I cannot begin to know what they’re going through, but my thoughts are with them.

Time to cuddle up with the books I failed to read on holidays, and reflect on how lucky I am.

Catch ya…
