Happy New Year…

Farewell 2006… Hello 2007.
Here’s a quick recap:

In 2006…

  • Mr L started school.
  • Mr G won B Grade Crit Champs.
  • Mr A joined the family 🙂
  • we had some sleep, and then not so much.
  • we holidayed at the beach for a week.
  • Mr L started to learn to swim.
  • Mr A dropped night feeds, then resumed them with a passion.
  • I met a whole lot of nice people from all over the world, due to this thing called scrapping.
  • Mr A got very mobile and talkative. And finally got a tooth.
  • Mr L matured beyond measure and finally started acknowledging Mr A. 🙂
  • (surely more than this happened, but this is all my sleep deprived brain can think of at the moment).

In 2007…

  • Mr L will go into Grade 1. He might even lose a tooth.
  • Mr A will get more teeth and start walking and probably climbing. And sleeping through the night (sigh).
  • Mr G and I celebrate 10 years of marriage with a trip to Tasmania (can’t wait).
  • all four of us will be healthy at the same time. No gastro or sore throats like we have for the past month.
  • I stop slacking-off after Christmas and get back to work and make some cool stuff. (I can dream, right?)
  • Mr G comes to the party and agrees to buy the most excellent chook house I saw yesterday and we can get chickens again.
  • I will take more photos than ever before.

I didn’t see the New Year in. I saw 11.30, 12.30, 1.30, 2.30, 4.30 and 6.30 though. Mr A is on antibiotics for his sore throat, and last night he was tired and achy all night. And although he wanted me for cuddles, all he really wanted was to get into bed with Dad. So I got booted out, and he got Dad. None of us still had any sleep, but it wasn’t as loud as when he was in his own bed. At least I know this won’t last forever.

Catch ya…

I’ve got some chickens you can have. We got some eggs from the SIL for our bantams to hatch out. So we now have 7 chickens (including the bantams) scratching the hell out of our gardens.
Which reminds me – better let them out of the shed. lol

    Have a great year dear.
