Not what I want to see…

from the end of my street.

We should be right. The wind is on our side, but there’s not a lot of bush between here and there.

Kind thoughts are appreciated for all of those wonderful people fighting fires to keep us safe.

ETA 7.33pm: The fire is still going, not under control yet. We hear the helicopters going over water bombing every few minutes. It’s only within a couple of kms from here and heading towards the coal mine. Hopefully there’s a bit of rain coming and the wind direction doesn’t change.

Catch ya…

Eeek! I hope you’ll be right Karen!

All of that reminds me of the bad bush fires we had back here in Sydney/Blue Mts. in 2001!

That looks terrible Karen, I’ll be thinking of you and your family and sending postive thoughts, we’re well aquainted with wild fires here in California, I know how scary they are. All my best!!

Stay safe Karen! I remember a similar view from the 2001 fires, one of the scariest days of my life.
