img_6229.jpgis hot. It’s nearly 35 degrees (95 in the old money). Hard to believe it’s October. Barely half way through spring. I was reading on Deb’s blog about how her family has their fire plan ready to go. It’s a sad but true fact of life in Australia – the threat of fire. This is the view from the end of my street about 10 minutes ago. Thank goodness for the internet and radio – I can’t imagine what it would be like to see all that smoke 100+ years ago and not know how far away it was. I can check with the CFA’s site and see what’s going on – seems like there’s two fires within about 15 kms of us, but no threat.
I hate summer.

Mr L starts swimming lessons today. I can’t wait to find out how he went. I’m not optimistic that he will have had a good time – but I really hope so. Mr G just rang – he went along during his lunch time to help out with the boys – all went well. Phew. So pleased.

Mr A is driving himself crazy. Still wants to crawl so bad. The legs move left-right-left but his hands stay still. He’s getting around the lounge room, but wants to explore the whole house. And the cat, apparently. At least he’s cool today. He’s covered in lovely baby dribble, and the contents of a sippy cup he upturned in the middle of the lounge room. Soggy baby.

Hope it’s cool and safe in your part of the world.

Catch ya…
