Finally…

karen_hunt_feeling_special_sample.jpgSomething new.  I enjoyed this one – love the colours, the textures of it all. And all the bits and pieces. I was going to do a few kits around the theme of scrapping yourself, but it was getting a bit too serious – I wanted it to be a little more casual. So I’m rethinking it and maybe going a little more bright and fun. Or I might just make something else totally different. Who knows. I’ve got a freebie that goes with it, a metal frame. Not sure why I didn’t put it in, but you can have it anyway. It karen_hunt_feeling_special_sample_detail.jpgmatches the Feeling Special kit (and if you look carefully, there’s a little something extra in there too ;)).

Mr A and I had a great day out yesterday. He’s very interested in crawling babies. He wants to be one. He was great to take out, despite the fact he had very little sleep. Miss E has grown and is just gorgeous. I love seeing her and seeing where Mr A will be headed in 3 months time.

Better go – I can hear Mr “I only need 1 hour sleep” talking.

Catch ya…

Okay, here we go. I have to get a bit heavy here. Thanks very much for the new Freebie Karen, however if I had known I was going to be immediately directed to “Rapidshare”, I would have chosen NOT to download. I love your samplers, but I’m absolutely petrified of downloading “anything from Rapidshare” anymore, and I urge everyone to be careful and stay away.

Recently my husband and I spent “three days and nights attempting to remove a terrible Trojan I picked up from accessing files that came directly from Rapidshare. FYI, my husband is a Partner/Executive Consultant with one of Canada’s leading Technology companies; he can do ANYTHING computer related, but I’m telling you he made use of ALL the leading virus scanning software and anti-spyware solutions on the market as well as tier two solutions to get rid of this pest (I do mean “all”), but still it would not leave! And all of this frustration and aggravation because of free files downloaded from “RAPIDSHARE”. I’ve learned my lesson now and I’m no longer prepared to go through that nightmare again. In fact no one should have to, which is why I want to warn everyone to” keep away from that site”.

For those who are sharing files like yourself Karen – “please consider using alternate services”. Rapidshare is one of the worst portals to become associated with. Aside from the dangerous risk factors, downloads take the longest, and the site promotes pornography, i.e. when you link to the site you find yourself immediately face to face with adult ads (which BTW is where the virus’ originates). Why would the digi scrapping community want to support a site that encourage pornography AND major damage to people’s hardware and software? It’s simply not worth the risk. There are many other Image sharing utilities that are safer, better, quicker and much more well respected.

I apologize for going on about this, but as soon as I clicked “download” on your freebie, I didn’t have any option; I was immediately taken to that awful, intrusive site that messed with my system (and will mess with others) and promotes what I don’t want to be a part of. When I download, I like to know where I’m going to be directed so I have the choice of going or not.

If people like yourself choose to continue using photo sharing utilities such as Rapidshare that are risky, dangerous and invasive, you are putting your customers and yourself at risk. Please be aware of the seriousness of this issue and perhaps pass the message along to others.

Again Karen, this note is only intended to make you and others aware of the dangers of Trojans and how vulnerable they are particularly when led right to them. People need to take pre-cautions whenever possible and realize how serious they are. Unlike standard virus’, Trojans cannot be easily treated and removed by even the most skilled techies. I don’t mean to upset you in any way, just to inform you. Thanks.
