And glad to be home.

We had a great time, and the weather was good most of the time. As soon as we hit the border on the way home, it rained. We did lots of walking – pretty much anywhere we could take the pusher. Mr A was a little unsure about the change of scenery, but decided that as long as mum and dad were still there, it was ok. Mr L, as always, thrives on travel, so was in his element. I didn’t take too many photos this time, but here are a few of my favourites:

We stayed where we’ve stayed a few times before – it’s a small and clean apartment. It’s cheap as, and in an excellent location, which is a bonus! The best bit, aside from being able to hear the waves at night, is the birds. We had all kinds visit us, and the rainbow lorikeets were bold and noisy and wonderful.

img_0198.jpgThere was a boardwalk along the lakes edge near us that was lovely to walk along, and we headed north along the coast to a town we’d stayed at last year and walked along the boardwalk there too. That was awesome – we saw so much swimming and moving and living in the water. I loved it. Can you spot the fish in the picture? It looks like a rock, but it was swimming along happily. Very exciting for an animal nerd like me.

So, we’re back, with piles of washing and heaps to catch up on, it seems. I’ve spent the day running around doing things like swimming, groceries and visiting my parents and brother. The weekend will be over before I know it.

Catch ya…

Looks like you had an awesome time! Great photos – love the sign that says ‘keep off boats’ – lol were the boats trying to creap up on the land??
Wow, that fish is well hidden! I would never have found it if you hadn’t circled it.
