Winter…again…

Image011We were supposed to have a get together today with some kids from school, but the weather got all nasty on us. Check out the hail! It was so heavy we pulled over and tried to take a photo rather than risk life and limb driving in it.

So instead of lunch at the park, we’re home earlier than we thought. I’m going to sit down and begin to go through the huge pile of applications that have come in for my Creative Team. Oh my goodness, you people are talented! Just from the little peeks I’ve had so far, I know it’s going to be a tough decision. If you haven’t applied yet, don’t let that discourage you – you might be just what I didn’t know I was looking for!

Ok, off to drool make informed choices – and to work on my first collab kit…

Spring…

is here in all it’s lovely springyness.

Mr A is old enough this year to really be enjoying outside with the big boys.

IMG_1434Mr G has been on holidays this week and has been working overtime out in the backyard.

He’s pulled out our tiny little vege patch to put in a mega vege patch. It’s enormous! Not sure what’s going in there yet – he’s got it all sorted – but, fingers crossed, there might be a chook pen going in to the right. I’d love to collect eggs with the boys – Mr L did it until he was about 2 and I know Mr A will love it too. We’ll have enough produce to keep the whole neighborhood fed if things start to grow!

Nothing much else happening here this week.  Just enjoying a lot of family time with my boys :) but make sure you check in tomorrow for an exciting announcement that could involve you!

Busy stuff…

So much for this being the first week of our “break” – been so busy with stuff that’s it’s crazy. The highlight, aside from immunisations and parent/teacher interviews was a trip to Heronswood gardens.

See that view? Sensational.IMG_0382

Here’s my boys, doing what they do best.

And the highlight of the day for Mr A – ducks! He kept coming back and standing on a chair to watch the ducks do their thing. He’s mad about ducks.

And finally, a photo my brother took that I just love – it’s my nephew reflected in a helmet – very cool and very “three year old”!

School finishes for two weeks tomorrow, and Mr G has one week left of holidays. Fingers cross this computer doesn’t misbehave again and I can get some things done!

Late to the party…

As always, we’re late to the party. We’ve just discovered Arrested Development. Oh my goodness. I haven’t laughed this hard for a long time. We’re loving it.

Mr G, in particular, is loving GOB’s chicken dance (if you’ve seen the show, you know what I mean). He was dancing it in the kitchen last night and Mr A joined in. Except he was doing a “duck dance” – you shout “duck” over and over (one of his favourite words) and spin around. He’s been doing his duck dance quite a bit today.

Mr G is on holidays. Tomorrow we’re heading out for the day – hopefully we won’t have as much rain as we did today!

Updating…

I had one of those days where I had inspiration and time – not often that happens anymore (mainly the time thing) – so here we go.

First, today’s quick effort – Roxby Swirls brushes. Oh these are so yummy! And created 100% by me, no clip art at all. Pretty pleased with that.

Next, 2008 calendars. Yes, it does seem too early to do it, but they’re done now. There’s a template set – I like me some circles.

And there’s the already finished, just add the photos one. I’m going to start doing another one, identical layouts but more feminine colours, I think.

And now it’s “sit in front of the television and knit” time.

Mystery Bag #3…

Just a little one this week – it’s been a busy week and I forgot it was Thursday until lunchtime….

khunt-fairy-sprinkles-preview.jpgIt coordinates with my Fairy Sprinkles template kit – just a few bits and pieces. If you already have the set, you’ll find it matches perfectly. If you don’t, you might just like what is there anyway! You can grab it here. Remember your manners. ;)

We’ve had the school concert this week. Mr L did great – and it was a top little show. Here’s my little lemur, front and centre dancing to “I like to move it, move it”.

If you check my store, there are some 2008 calendars up – more about them tomorrow.
